The cool thing about the Nuvo Vino Wine Thermometer is that you don’t have to stick it in the wine. It uses infrared sensors to detect the temperature of the wine. Just keep it 1-2 inches above the wine and it will tell you what’s the temperature. One interesting thing I found on their website is that the taste of the wine varies greatly within a 20 degrees range.
For example: at 70F, the red wine will taste hot and thin, at 64F supple and fluid and at 50F full and astringent.
