Panasonic recently announced a new pocket-size standard definition video camera: the SDR-S7. This camera can record 16:9 or 4:3 video at VGA (640×480) resolution in MPEG-2 format and has 3 recording modes: XP (10 Mbps), SP (5 Mbps), and LP (2.5 Mbps). The Panasonic SDR-S7 allows you to record up to 13 hours of video and has a 10x optical zoom, 2.7 inch widescreen display, stereo microphone, 0.6 seconds Quick Start, and USB 2.0.
A strong point in favour of this device is the 3.8 seconds boot up time and the battery that can last up to 70 minutes. On the other side, Panasonic included no HD capability.
The producer announced this camera for the 25th of April in Japan and in May for the US. It will cost $440.
