Elektrobit announced for 2009 the newest Windows Mobile – based satellite phone. Despite featuring all the standard smartphone options you will always have satellite access. This is very useful when you have no network coverage. This aspect is handled by the TerreStar satellite network but they haven’t launched it yet. Rumor is that it was announced for the end of this year.
The phone will run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and will include built-in WiFi and Bluetooth, HDSPA support, a microSD card slot, a 3-megapixel camera and voice controls.
About the price Elektrobit declared that this mobile phone will cost like a standard cell phone.
This thing sounds like junk. No gps… how do you announce a satellite phone but forget to include gps. So lame. OMG, this phone manufacturer is clueless.
