This week, Virgin Mobile announced unlimited calling plans along with their purchase of Helio. The entire deal was signed for $39 million and all 170,000 Helio’s customers will now be included in the Virgin’s network.

You can forget all about Virgio’s prepaid offers because they will now enter into the postpaid market. By purchasing Helio it will be much easier for Virgin to offer postpaid contracts and also to pay lower rates to host Sprint.
