Even if they made the announcement this January, only now Samsung started the mass production for its 1.8- and 2.5-inch SSDs in both 64GB and 128GB capacities. SATA II SSDs use the MLC- 64 MLC NAND flash chips of 16 gigabits each in the 9.5-mm thick 128GB SSD. Some people think that they will be cheaper than the SLC-based SSDs and faster than any classic laptop HDD.
It offers you power consumption rated at just 0.2-watts idle or 0.5 watts when active. It’s amazing! According to Samsung, the 250GB SSD will go to mass production by the end of 2008.
