Nowadays, alternative energy cars are building their road in the international auto market. Mindset AG, a Swiss company developed a solar powered prototype model, the Six50. According to Mura Guntak, each charge will grant 62 miles. The Six50 is a 2+2 seater, measures 13 feet long and can go 0-60 in 7 seconds.

Even so, some people say that solar panels don’t improve much the fuel efficiency. The only car with solar panels ever was made by Prius and that was made entirely for the air conditioner.

Back to Mindset AG, they plan to build 10,000 Six50 cars by 2009 with a price tag of $78.000.
