After a long absence, Sonos decided to release on the market the ZP120 ($500) and Z90 ($350), as well as the BU150 bundle ($1,000). Both devices support SonosNet 2.0 that uses MIMO to increase twice the wireless distance between nodes.
The ZP120 is lighter than its predecessor but it can still handle 55W of sound.
The company is also launching the 2.6 version of its desktop software. Every new or existing user can access free music from eMusic and Livedownloads in exchange for a $200 fee.
All this is great but how about the $400 controller? Well, unfortunately it doesn’t even include SonosNet 2.0. But look on the bright side… They’ll probably release an iPod touch / iPhone controller app but then again, maybe not.
