The solar powered clothes are no longer breaking news these days but from now and then a certain item comes out of the blue and makes fashion more challenging. That’s exactly what it happens with the Solar Power Necktie that was especially developed by a group of people at Iowa State University.

This is not just a regular tie. The solar shells pattern on it it’s very nice and you won’t look too geeky wearing it. You can stash your phone on its hidden pouch and charge it using the sun power without dropping people’s attention.

It’s a useful gadget but unfortunately we’ll have to wait until it reaches mass production.
