Finally Canon has decided to officially release on the market the 15.1 megapixel EOS 50D.

According to the specs the camera will boast with DIGIC 4 image processor, multiple level noise reduction during high-speed shooting, ISO range between 100-12800, 6.3 fps shooting, peripheral illumination correction, 14-bit Analog-to-Digital conversion, , auto lighting optimizer, autofocus system and a viewfinder with 0.95x magnification. Pretty impressive!

Also the EOS 50D is resetting the rules of this industry by featuring some new and interesting options such as: additional Live View function (with “Quick Mode AF” and “Live Mode AF”), HDMI output, two sRAW formats and a 3-inch Clear View LCD display.

This camera will be available in US stores with a standard body of $1,399 and $1,599 body plus a Canon EF 280135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM kit lens.
