If until a few years ago a 19-incher was enormous for a regular desktop, now the rules have changed: the bigger the better. That’s why Dell has decided to release the 23-inch S2309W 1080p LCD monitor.

Nowadays, all new movies are encoded are 1080p resolution and this new monitor has 1080p written all over. In addition to all that it features a 1920 x 1080 resolution, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 16.7 million colors (24-bit) and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

For now, the monitor is available only in Canada but there won’t be long until it will hit other regions as well. There is no information available on pricing but considering all the above, this baby will have a spicy price tag.
