NTT DoCoMo Inc. presented a new mobile phone at this year’s CEATAC from Japan. This new device called the Separate Keitai puts a new spin on this industry because it’s a phone that splits in two.
Each part uses Bluetooth wireless technology to synchronize with each other can simply reattach vertically or horizontally by a single magnet.
The vertical attachment features a numeric keypad while the horizontal one a QWERTY keyboard. If you love to play games on your phone you can use this horizontal function into a useful gamepad.
It’s a very interesting concept because you can talk on the phone while checking your email. Unfortunately the manufacturer announced that they didn’t decide anything about turning this phone intro a practical application.
We’ll keep you posted.
