If you love to spend you’re holiday on a boat then you should check out the new GPS devices from Garmin.
This pair of devices are ready to hit the American market and are called the GPSMAP 640 and GPSMAP 620. Both of them boast with waterproof 5.2-inch WVGA touch screens with 800 x 480 resolution and start automatically using the marine mode (depth countors, port plans, restricted areas and wrecks).
To be more precise, the 640 includes preloaded maps of North America and U.S. coastal BlueChart g2 charts, XM WX Satellite Weather, XM Satellite Radio and XM NavTraffic.
The 620 features international marine maps, a worldwide base-map and a SD expansion.
There is no information available on release date but we can say for sure that the GPSMAP 620 has MSRP of $999.99 while the GPSMAP 640 has a MSRP of $1199.99.
