Sony’s OLEDs aren’t quite a novelty these days because the first model was presented at CES in January and since then they are available for customers worldwide.
Now it’s time for the manufacturer to announce a new and flexible 11-inch display that measures only .3mm in thickness. Considering the fact that the XEL-1 TV is now $2,500 we’ll have to wait a little until the price will be close to affordable.
Anyway, this is an important step for the industry because in time the OLEDs will replace the paper and will save the forest.
This is only the beginning until then we’ll have to wait and see when will this new OLED be available in store and how much will it cost.
