No later than yesterday I was telling you about Sony’s new stunt. Due to some overheating problems they were forced to recall 35,000 Li-ion batteries of the market. Today this number has reached 100,000.
After a yesterday’s huge list of affected Dell, HP and Toshiba laptops, Acer and Lenovo just joined the battle. The problem is present at 2004-2005 models sold both inside (1/3) and outside (2/3) the US.
According to Sony these nasty batteries come from the exact same unit that was responsible for the recalled batteries in 2006.
