In a century ruled by HDDVDs and BluRay we can honestly say that the old VHS tapes were practically useless. Now it’s official: the sun his finally set on the VHS era.
Years have passed and JVS, the major VHS manufacturer worldwide continued to produce them but not anymore. “A History Of Violence” was back in 2006 last film released on video tape celebrating 30 years of VHS dominated home visual entertainment.
Another chapter in the movie industry has reached its final page but its role during the hstory cannot be challenged by anyone. Let’s see: in the 70’s we had VHS, in the 80’s the same, in the 90’s the same but in the 00’s its place was stolen by DVD and Blu-ray. Will they be able to last for another 30 years? I guess not!
In the end let’s all thank VHS for our childhood memories and movies.
