Starting this January Dashboard Devices will release on the market their very new two-part ENV (Entertainment and Navigation for Vehicles) line.
First in line will be the ENV-XC featuring the main CPU, graphics unit and other basic features matching perfectly the double-DIN ENV-100 or the single-DIN ENV-50.
According to some rumors, the double-DIN package will cost $2,700 and will boast with "true dual zone" control. In other words the rear passengers will have their own set of preferences that won’t interfere with the ones set by the front passengers. In addition to all that the device will come equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, a 160GB hard drive, a WiFi module, navigation, DVD playback, satellite radio support, iPod compatibility, voice activated functions, Windows XP and optional WWAN. We’ll keep you posted with more information after we see this baby at CES.
