“Hybrid” is a very used term when it describes new eco-safe vehicles but now MSI is using it to present their new U115 netbook computer.
Apparently this machine has a solid-state disk for most of the PC operation and features a back-up spinning disk drive for additional storage. When the Eco on mode is active the hard drive will be disabled and the battery life will last longer.
The MSI U115 comes equipped with 120GB hard drive and 8GB SSD but if that’s not enough you can always upgrade to a 160GB hard drive and 16GB SSD. Also, the hybrid features a 10-inch display, an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 3-cell battery, a 1.3 MP camera and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. If you want you can add a 6-cell battery and a Bluetooth 2.0 to the specs list.
Unfortunately for the time being there is no information available on pricing and release date.
