If you’re familiar with the Tamagotchis toys then you should check out this new Yuruppy virtual pet from Takara Tomy. The Yurupi dies pretty much the same thing as a Tamagotchi but it also has a touchscreen so you can pet it.

The tiny virtual pet will become your best friend right away and you’ll have a lot of fun together because the gadget comes with 14 pre-installed mini-games. You can choose between a puppy, a kitten or a chicken.

If your Tamagotchi pet dies and the tragedy was overwhelming you should know that the Yuruppy won’t die if you forget to feed it. I don’t know if this is a good or a bad thing because i always thought that the whole purpose of these virtual pets was to teach you how to take care of a real pet.

The Yuruppy will be available in stores all over Japan for $21 but the standard version will be followed shortly by a bigger and better one that will cost $38.
