Sony has announced the new VAIO series, the NW. The new series has a Blu-ray drive and it seems to have a good price. The display is a 15.5-inch WXGA with XBRITE, and the processor is 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350. The new VAIO also has an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570 with 512MB VRAM and also a 4x BD-ROM drive. The battery is Li-ion and last for about 5.5 hours. Other features include Memory Stick Pro, VGA and HDMI output and ExpressCard. The laptop is easy to use and quite comfortable. The mettalic design is eye catching and the logo on the back reflects in an elegant way when it is exposed to the sun. Pricing starts at $880 with BD-ROM and $800 without it.
