The Samsung specialists have announced that they have developed a SATA mini card especially for usage on mobile devices like the MID, notebooks and UMPC. This Samsung mini-card uses the SATA 3.0 Gb interface. The available capacities are 16, 32 and 64 GB. This notebook oriented mini-card is made using the 40nm-class process technology. It is actually 80% smaller than a regular 2.5-inch hard drive. This mini card has a robust interface capable to resist dropping, jostling and jarring. The weight of the card is 8.5 g.
