Google has announced that they want to create a Google Chrome OS. It is an open source operating system which will initially be used on netbooks. The code will be open-sourced right this year and the running Chrome OS will be used on netbooks in the middle of 2010. It is something the open source community is looking forward to see. There are some things that are expected from this OS and those things are: speed, simplicity and security. The new Os has to be fast and also lightweight. It has to be able to go from start up straight online really fast. Just like Google got us used to, the user interface must stay minimal and the experience has to be web-related. The security architecture has to be strong and be able to deal with all the viruses and have great security updates.
Google Chrome OS is separated from Android. Android was first designed to interact with many types of devices from phones to boxes and netbooks. Google Chrome OS is for those people who are most of the times connected on the web and it is meant to power up computers like small netbooks and even full-size desktop systems. There are some areas where Google Chrome OS and Android tend to overlap, but both are innovative in their own field.
