Besides bringing on the market the new controller-amplifiers, now Knoll Systems is releasing HDP1100 and HDP1200 home theater projectors. These are the first “ground up” designs made in the last few years by the company. HDP1100 has a cute short-throw lens and the HDP1200 is a long-throw projector. They both have MaxPlay imager and video processor, Knoll 2-D lens shift and Dynamic Black automatic iris. The iris gives more than 4 times improvement over the mechanical native contrast. The two projectors have Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology and Nikon glass lenses. The contrast ratio is 4400:1 contrast ratio and the brightness is 950 lumens. They both support Deep Color and they display 1.07 billion colors. The prices are: $5999 for HDP1100 and $6799 for HDP1200.
