Epson officially announced the release of PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 and Home Cinema 8500 UB projectors for the US market. This product is also on the European market but under the name EH-TW4400 a Full HD device with a 1920×1080 resolution. The PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 has a 36000:1 contrast ratio and 1800 lumens brightness plus Dynamic Iris system for contrast improvement. The other one, the Home Cinema 8500 UB has 200,000:1 contrast ratio and 1600 lumens plus a 12-bit 3LCD driver technology and a built-in Silicon Optix HQV Reon-VX scaling.  You should also know that these projectors are equipped with Fujinon OptiCinema Multi-Lens Optics System, E-TORL (Epson Twin Optics Reflection Lamp), and Advanced Dust Filtration System. They have two HDMI 1.3A inputs, S-video, component, composite, VGA and S-video inputs as well and if you want them you will have to pay $1599 for PowerLite 8100 and $3000 for 8500 UB.
