Gefen is releasing the 8×8 Crosspoint Matrix for HDMI 1.3. With it you can easily route HD sources from 8 sources to any 8 displays. The Matrix can support up to 1080p resolution and advanced digital audio formats such as Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master audio. You can connect 8 HD sources to the Matrix’s HDMI inputs. To the outputs you can then connect 8 displays to the Matrix’s HDMI outputs. Then the Matrix and the displays are powered up and connected, after which you are free to select the HD sources you want to view on any of the displays. This device will cost you about $3999.
