The guys from Pocket-lint managed to find out from a spokeperson of Acer that the company based in Taiwan will be launching their own Windows 7 phones. The shipping dates for the Acer Windows 7 phones are planned for September/October 2011, once the latest version of WP7 is launched, the 7.5 version. This means that Acer will launch their phones in competition with the first Windows 7 phone models from Nokia, which are due to appear during the same period.
While the start of WP7 wasn’t impressive, Microsoft is slowly getting the support it needs behind its simple but well made phone OS.
