The ViewSonic ViewPad 10 tablet comes with a dual operating system, as it’s able to run both Android and Windows on it. The Android version was a bit outdated though, as it was running the 1.6 version, so the model is getting the 2.2 Froyo update. The one advantage it has is that its owners can have both a Windows environment to work in and an Android version to get a better experience as a mobile tablet.
Thanks to the Android 2.2 update, the owners of the ViewPad 10 are now able to see Flash movies, tether natively and use apps and benefit from the optimization that comes with this version. To update the tablet, you need to put the update on a USB drive which you plug in the tablet. You need a USB keyboard attached to the tablet as well. Details can be found in this PDF file from ViewSonic.
Other specs of the ViewSonic ViewPad 10 tablet with dual boot are the 10 inch capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1024×600, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, two USB ports, 1 microphone, 1 audio out, mini-VGA, a 1.3MP webcam and a microSD card slot for up to 32GB of extra storage.
