The first 1TB Laptop SSD was announced by OCZ and it’s called the Octane SSD. It has a 2.5 inch size, which is a bay that is found on most laptops. Besides the large amount of capacity that you get, you also have the Indlinx Everest controller, which allows your booting time to be up to 50% quicker.
The price per GB will be up to $1.30, so you will pay $166 for a 128GB SSD. As for the 1TB version, it will cost you over $1,000, which is not that bad when you consider the amount of space. Other versions will have 512GB and 256GB. You will be able to use them both on SATA 2 and SATA 3, depending on what you have on your PC.
