Best Buy is the second store after Borders to get the Kobo Wireless eReader and it also has a special offer, selling it for just $100 until after Mother's Day.

The Kobo Wireless eReader will be first offered on the site of Best Buy and in its physical stores and it will be on sale for $100 for Mother’s Day, after which the ebook reader will be sold for $130 (from May 14). Before this partnership, you could only buy the Kobo Wireless eReader from the Borders stores. The device is able to read PDF, ePUB and Adobe DRM files and it has support for the Local Library Lending program.

The Kobo reader comes with an E Ink screen and the internal storage capacity is 1GB, which should be sufficient for around 1000 ebooks. You can expand this space with an SD card.

The $100 price is nothing to sneeze at, but if you’re willing to pay a bit extra, Amazon also has an offer, for the Kindle 3G, which costs $189 but comes with a free $25 gift card, also for Mother’s Day.
Here are the best digital picture frames for under $100, the perfect gadget choice for the upcoming Mother's Day.

Mother’s day is just around the corner and one of the nicest gadget gifts you can make is a digital photo frame, full with pictures that she cherishes and likes to see. The three digital frames mentioned below are the best models available at Amazon.com and the criteria used was that it should cost less than $100, it should have an average rating of at least 4 stars and it shouldn’t be too small. The result was three digital frames, two of them of 10 inches and one at 8 inches. You can see them below.

The three best digital picture frames offer something for everyone. There is the ViewSonic model which offers a bigger bang for the buck, with a 10 inch size and the smallest price, but there are also two models from Sony, one with the best reviews but an 8 inch size and the other one with a size of 10 inches but a little bit more expensive. All three are solid choices and they should make your mother very happy, as long as you also upload some family photos on it.

Amazon is running an interesting promotion for Mother’s Day on its Kindle ebook reader.
Amazon Kindle just got cheaper, in an interesting development, as $25 is slashed as long as you buy the ad supported version, which has ads on the home screen and in screensavers.

The Amazon Kindle, whose price has been going down from $399 three and a half years ago to $139 in the present, just became even cheaper, dropping another $25 if you’re willing to buy a version with ads on it. The new option costs you $114.

Fortunately, these ads will not detract from the reading experience, since they will not be shown on book pages. According to Amazon, these ads will be displayed on screensavers and on the home screen of the Kindle, as you can see in this article’s picture.

Once you decide what book you want to read, you don’t see the ad again until you finish reading it (unless you switch between books often). As for the screensaver, this one appears when the device is put to sleep and right now they show portraits of art and famous authors. All in all, the $25 rebate might just be worth it if the ads aren’t intrusive.

This $114 Kindle can be ordered from Amazon, with deliveries starting on May 3rd (select the “Kindle with Special Offers $114” option).[Learn more]

The Ideum MT55 is a HD multitouch table with a 55 inch size that was just introduced. It comes with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit as its OS, a 2.93GHz Intel Core i7 quad core CPU, a 1GB graphics chip called Quadro 600 PCIe from nVidia, two HDD of 250GB at 7200 RPM, plus 4GB of RAM.

It also has Bluetooth, WiFi, HDMI out, USB 2.0, an audio jack and an Ethernet connector. It should work great in trade shows and museums, especially since the power switch and ports are not in plain view. The multitouch feature of this table allows for 32 different touch points which are simultaneous and the response time varies between 7 and 12ms.

The Ideum MT55 comes assembled, it has a weight of 136kg (350 pounds) and it will work as soon as you take it out of the crate.

One of the coolest thing I’ve seen lately is a wearable computer designed to be used by medics and field workers, or anyone else that might need to use a computer with a single hand. It’s the Eurotech Zypad WL 1500 and as you can see from the photo below it’s wearable on your arm.

It has a 3.5 inch screen with a QVGA resolution and a backlight screen that has an ambient light sensor to control it. It comes with a hot swap battery, giving the user 8 hours of autonomy. Other specs are the keyboard with 12 keys, 128MB of RAM, SIM card slot, GPS and microSD card slot. The OS on it is the Windows CE 6.0 and it will be launched during the second quarter of 2011.

This Tama-Robo toy is designed to be used in places where kids can't keep real pets and it's main "thing" is that it will follow a light and move after it.

Tama Robo is an artificial pet, made for kids that can’t have real pets because of the place where they live or for the kids that simply want one because it’s cool. The one thing about the Tama-Robo is that it’s designed to follow a light. You can compare it with a cat that loves to follow a moving light on the floor. This toy will do the same thing.

The price of a Tama-Robo toy is around $70 and you can buy it from Japan Trend Shop.
