The big news on the online is of course the new Chrome OS. Still, two creative hackers managed to port the Google’s other operating system to x86. They also released the .02 version of the Android LiveCD built by them. This means you can boot freely and run Android on your PC right from the optical drive. You need to install it in the virtual machine and for real on the laptop. So, go ahead, test it and have fun!

Google has announced that they want to create a Google Chrome OS. It is an open source operating system which will initially be used on netbooks.

Google has announced that they want to create a Google Chrome OS. It is an open source operating system which will initially be used on netbooks. The code will be open-sourced right this year and the running Chrome OS will be used on netbooks in the middle of 2010. It is something the open source community is looking forward to see. There are some things that are expected from this OS and those things are: speed, simplicity and security. The new Os has to be fast and also lightweight. It has to be able to go from start up straight online really fast. Just like Google got us used to, the user interface must stay minimal and the experience has to be web-related. The security architecture has to be strong and be able to deal with all the viruses and have great security updates.

Google Chrome OS is separated from Android. Android was first designed to interact with many types of devices from phones to boxes and netbooks. Google Chrome OS is for those people who are most of the times connected on the web and it is meant to power up computers like small netbooks and even full-size desktop systems. There are some areas where Google Chrome OS and Android tend to overlap, but both are innovative in their own field.

Philips Net TV allows you to browse the Internet while watching TV.

How long has it been since you’ve watched your favorite TV series at the normal broadcasting time as announced by the network? Many people today watch their favorite shows from their computer and especially for us NetGear developed the Internet TV Player.

The Internet TV Player is like a bridge between you TV and your computer allowing you to watch Oprah, Lost and 24 (these are only a few examples) online. Thanks to the Net TV application you can use the TV to browse sites like: eBay, YouTube, Netlog, Funsport and MyAlbum using only the remote included in the package.

This application was especially designed for the 8000 and 9000 series. For those of you that don’t know I’ll tell you that the 8000 needs a wired Internet connection while the 9000 is 100% wireless.

According to the manufacturer, the Net TV will be available starting this April.

Stay tuned for more information!

The Internet Clock Radio requires only the RealPlayer plugin in order to work.

Despite the huge success that digital gadgets had in the last few years apparently the traditional watches still won’t give up without a fight. Our lives are getting more and more digital by day. Almost everyone carries around a cellphone and an MP3 player or PMP not to mention that our works is highly based on a computer or a laptop.

Back to the watches, a good watch has an attractive fashionable design and offers accurate reading for its possessor. If a traditional watch is not for you, then I’ll recommend you the Internet Clock Radio.

The Internet Clock Radio is not Opera and Safari friendly and all it needs is the RealPlayer plugin in order to work.

Microsoft just announced a first patch for the Windows 7 public beta and a new update for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Server 2003 / 2008.

Time has come for Microsoft to release their first patch for the Windows 7 public beta.

This update is saving your MP3 files from a very annoying bug that trims seconds of any track that’s been edited. If you didn’t back up your library, there’s a big chance that your afflicted files will be saved after installing this patch.

Together with this new update, Microsoft also released a new update for Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and Server 2003 / 2008 fixing a few vulnerabilities in the SMB (Server Message Block) protocol.

According to Christopher Budd, chief of Microsoft Security Response Team beta users will only get their fix only when the next public release because now this is a moderate risk for the new Windows.

Thanks to the Citrix Receiver, Windows will now be able to run on the famous iPhone. What’s Citrix Receiver? It’s a remote screen software that once connected to your PC makes you think you’re running Microsoft OS while benefiting from the copy / paste functions.

This means that you’ll be able to run a large number of Windows apps over the network using your iPhone.

Obviously this is not the first remote screen application developed for iPhone but without any doubt it’s the first one made by such a big company.

The most amazing thing just happened on App Store, Microsoft has just added their first-ever iPhone application called the SeaDragon Mobile. The app is actually a demo of the photo display platform from Microsoft Live Labs and will allow you to zoom in on high-resolution pictures.

According to Alex Daley, group product manager for Microsoft Live Labs, this decision was influenced by iPhone’s high popularity worldwide and most important its advanced hardware.

The iPhone is the first handset that traveled so fast around the world and its GPU inspired Microsoft to develop a very useful application for it making a large number of people very happy.

Can this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship?
