LG 84 Inch 4k 3D TV Announced

LG has just released a number of details on a 3D TV of 84 inches which is expected in 2012. It appears that this TV’s panel will be able to display 4k content, with a resolution of 3840×2160, but at the same time it will also display normal 1080p videos.

3D content will be accessible on this TV with the help of Cinema 3D glasses, which work with polarization, instead of active shutters. The first showing of this UDTV is expected to be at the Las Vegas CES, in January 2012. There is no information on the launch date or the price of this TV.

The BeoVision 4 line of TV’s from Bang & Olufsen just got a new monster model in its lineup, an 85 inch plasma TV which is the first one for the company to come with 3D support. The BeoVision 4-85 has a contrast ratio of 30,000 to 1, a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080, brightness level of 160cd/m2, automatic calibration and the picture optimization technology called VisionClear.

Samsung HT-D6750W is the latest 7.1 3D Home Theater to be launched, after being announced at CES 2011. This home theater was released today in South Korea and it will appear in Europe as well starting from the end of this week. Soon enough it will also show up in North America.

Samsung HT-D6750W comes with AllShare DLNA, VoD internet services, Smart Hub with Twitter, conversion from 2D to 3D, playback of 3D Blu-Ray discs, rear speakers via wireless and an iPod cradle. Rumor: Lenovo Smart TV’s Coming In 2011

Lenovo is a company which is well known for the phones, tablets and computers produced, but now it seems that they want to enter a new market and produce smart TV’s as well. According to DigiTimes, Lenovo wants to launch their first products by the end of 2011 and they’ve been in talks with OEMs like Compal Electronics or Wistron, which would produce their TVs. This is not confirmed right now, so until we get an official announcement, this is just a rumor.

The Sharp AQUOS Quattron LE830 series of HDTVs are shipping these days and they come in four different flavors, as far as screen size is concerned: 40, 46, 52 and 60 inch. The reproduction of color on these models is improved, thanks to the Quad Pixel Technology from Sharp.
