NEC V651 is a 65 inch commercial LCD which is designed for heavy use in different conditions than you would see at home. The price is $5,299 and the unit is Full HD.

The thing with commercial LCD’s is that they’re in a public space in most cases and people touch them and they’re used more than a regular TV. They need to be larger than your home TV is and they need to be tougher and more reliable. The NEC V651 is such a commercial LCD, with a 65 inch size and a screen that is commercial grade, made to be used for public displays and with features that prevent it from suffering from image burn in. The NEV V651 comes with 10W speakers that are integrated and the sound should be loud enough to be audible by anyone in the crowd in front of it.

The LCD’s panel offers 1080p quality and the connectivity options include HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, VGA and others. It also comes with NEC TileMatrix support, so it can be used as part of a video wall. It has a contrast ratio of 5000 to 1 and a brightness level of 400 lumens. The price of the NEC V651 is $5,299. According to DigiTimes, Lenovo wants to launch their first products by the end of 2011 and they’ve been in talks with OEMs like Compal Electronics or Wistron, which would produce their TVs. This is not confirmed right now, so until we get an official announcement, this is just a rumor.
