Thanks to the 90nm process technology the Indilinx IDX22 SSD controller is ready to hit the market.

Also known as Barefoot, this device can reach no less than 230MB/s and that’s mainly because it uses a multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash. It also can handle SATA 2.0 (3Gbps) interface, 4 operating channels and external DRAM buffer and comes with 170MB/s with SLC NAND flash and 200MB/s, 160MB/s with MLC NAND. It uses two types of hardware error-correcting code (ECC) of Reed-Solomon (RS) and Bose-Chadhuri-Hocquenghem (BCH) and can handle up to 512GB via flash memory.

The mass production for this product will start in Q4 of this year and we expect it to hit the market as soon as possible.

The DZ-BD10HA from Hitachi is a Blu-ray Hybrid camcorder that has just been released on the market.

The camera features a 7 megapixel CMOS image sensor that can shoot and record at a 1,920 x 1,080 High Definition resolution. But that’s no good if you don’t have enough storage space. That’s why Hitachi equipped the DZ-BD10HA with a built-in 30GB hard drive. In translation this means 4 hours and 20 minutes of full High Definition video. But desperate times require desperate solutions. If 30GB is still not enough, you can always use the integrated SDHC memory card slot and add more space.

In addition to all that the camcorder boasts with Optical Image Stabilization, Face Detection and One-Touch Dubbing.

The camera is available in Japan for $999 and starting this September it will be also be available in the US.
