A few interesting information about Canon’s newest DSLR the Rebel XS / 1000D have just leaked on the Internet.

A couple of camera fanatics from Photography Bay released some rumors saying that this camera will hide under its hood a 10.1 megapixel CMOS chip, Digic III, 7-point auto-focus, 3 FPS, a 2.5-inch LCD display and will weigh 540 grams. The menu should be a lot like the one on 450D.

The information on the price is very poor but it seems that it won’t be that expensive.

For now, it seems that this Rebel XS / 1000D is aiming to replace the Rebel XT on the market.

Everywhere you go people are talking about energy efficient alternatives to the incandescent bulb. That’s why Saazs and Saint-Gobain Innovations developed Planilum—the "world’s first light emitting glass." Pilanum is 0.8-inches thick and includes four layers of special glass, a rare gas and serigraphed phosphors in its composition in order to provide you with 20 years of normal usage.

If you worry about the heat factor, you must know that Planilum displays a soft glow and is as hot as a human body. Considering the fact that this invention is nearly all glass then is 90% recyclable.

For the next few years some designers thought about the possibility of building furniture and other household objects with these panels. Until then, the incandescent bulb is just one click away.

Sometimes when you get home from a hard day at work all you want to do is check your mail. But, what about those times when you open the mailbox and it’s empty?

The Mail Chime was invented so that you won’t have to waste a few trips to check if the postman arrived. This is a two piece kit that sends an alert when mail is put in the mailbox. The installation is very easy. You can mount the transmitter with double-stick tape and plug-in the receiver into the outlet. Once you receive any mail, the alarm will buzz four times with an LED light. You must know that the devices have a 300 foot range.

If you think a gadget like that can be helpful then you can order it from the Home Solutions website for $49.99.
